EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated regularly in accordance with the Board’s policy on the evaluation of classified staff.
JOB SUMMARY
To provide assistance with duties associated with student enrollment, maintaining student files, management of office responsibilities, and assisting with the duties encumbered by the building guidance counselor and principal. The work requires computer skills and demonstrated abilities in PC business software, various types of record keeping, working with students, staff and public, and working with financial records.

Professional Responsibilities
- Maintains all levels of confidentiality according to state and federal law, and district policies and procedures.
- Remains proficient in technology to include computers, copiers, and facsimile.
- Receives phone calls and makes referrals in a professional and courteous manner.
- Receives, sorts, and distributes mail and other documents for the building.
- Receives students, parents, and all others in a pleasant and courteous manner.
- Receives, unpacks, and verifies incoming shipment of materials
- Types a variety of materials such as letters, reports, memos, monthly information, and, if applicable, student records, in a professional manner.
- Maintains building services through a flexible work schedule as directed by the principal.
- Maintains information for student attendance and makes accurate, timely reports in accordance with district procedure.
- Schedules appointments and maintains a department calendar.
- Assists other school personnel and performs various other duties as assigned by the principal, or if applicable, guidance counselor.
Responsibilities to the Process Coordinator
- Processes all discipline referrals.
- Send all discipline correspondence to parents/guardians every day.
- Maintains discipline files in a complete, orderly manner in accordance with building and district procedure.
- Collect and deliver all homework for students on suspension and/or alternative education programs as needed.
- Updates and maintains student and staff handbooks in coordination with building principal.
Responsibilities to the Guidance Counselor (if applicable)
- Enroll, register, and assist with the orientation of new students.
- Maintains student enrollment in PowerSchool.
- Provides PowerSchool reports to supervisors as directed.
- Ensure building and district procedures are followed for receiving, maintaining, and transferring of student permanent records.
- Prepares and distributes copies and other instructional materials as needed.
- Assists with processing district testing materials.
- Assists with special activities and/or events.
