EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated regularly in accordance with the Board’s policy on the evaluation of certified staff.
JOB SUMMARY
To provide leadership in the development, implementation, and coordination of district technology to promote its effective use by students, staff, and administration.
- Ensuring all stakeholders have access to the tools and information needed to perform their duties.

Assesses needs and develops long-range plans for the district and building-level instructional technology programs.

Serves as a member of the district’s leadership team in the planning and implementation of the K-12 instructional program and assists in the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of district programs.

As part of the district leadership team, help develop district policies and procedures that are consistent with state and national law standards and designed to accomplish program goals and objectives.

Supervises and helps evaluate the operation of district and building-level instructional technology programs.

Assess district needs and prepare the instructional technology department budgets.

Supervises the purchase, installation, maintenance, repair, and updating of district technology equipment and resources.

Establishes an ongoing program of professional development for certified staff in the use of instructional resources, information/research strategies, and technology skills.
OTHER:
- Advises district staff and committees on new trends, best practices, and educational change in areas related to instructional technology.
- Attends workshops, conferences, and seminars to identify trends, best practices, and current and future standards for educational technology.
- Other duties as assigned.
